Rumor Roundup: Reigns’ WWE Future, Bray Wyatt’s Money, AEW Women, More!

Speculating on rumors surrounding professional wrestling is a favorite pastime for many fans, perhaps right after watching matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors from the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Rumors of the day:

  • Despite his Saturday night promo and the fact that WWE expects Roman Reigns to start landing movie roles and therefore needs some time off, Fighting selectionSources there say they don’t expect him to leave “anytime soon”. He is heavily featured in the creative plans for the foreseeable future.
  • WWE set up something between Reigns and Shinsuke Nakamura, but Ring News‘ Sources tell them the game is not considered worthy of a stadium show. It’s just “there for us to use with Roman when we need it”.
  • In an article about the high asking price by Bray Wyatt, Wrestling observation bulletin note Wyatt “was considered the third or fourth highest paid artist on the [WWE] roster with a contract in the range of $4 million a year at the time it was cut and was a major merchandise draw.
  • When it comes to AEW talent on Stardom shows, the WON reports that Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa aren’t high on the Japanese promotion’s wishlist: “The ones Stardom is most interested in for big shows are Toni Storm, Jamie Hayter, Hikaru Shida & Tay Conti.
  • Mia Yim’s weekend appearance for Impact was not a one-off affair. Fightful Select says she’s signed with the company.
