Fabrizio Romano has revealed Everton are demanding around £64million for Richarlison amid interest from Tottenham.
Reports first emerged over the weekend suggesting Tottenham were for Richarlison, with 90 minutes claiming the North Londoners were close to launching an opening bid for the Brazilian.
However, David Ornstein of Athletic reported that the Lilywhites would only sign the 25-year-old if he is available at the right price.
The Telegraph reported on Sunday that Everton would only let the striker leave this summer if they received an offer well in excess of the £50million they paid to sign him from Watford four years ago.
The report suggested that although Richarlsion had just two years left on his contract at Goodison Park, the Toffees were determined not to sell him for less than what they considered his market value.
Romano has now revealed the striker’s agent has spoken to Spurs, who are keen on signing him. However, the reporter says Frank Lampard’s men want a whopping €70-75m (£60-64.2m) to let the player go this summer.
Romano told CaughtOffside: “Richarlison is a player the new agents have talked about with Tottenham, as with other clubs.
“However, the club want €70-75m (£60-64.2m) as their opening price, so far they haven’t received any offers at that level. Tottenham n aren’t the only club interested, but Spurs have a real interest in Richarlison.
Boosts web opinion
I don’t think there’s a chance Spurs will pay more than £60m for Richarlison. Everton are hoping to start a bidding war to get the striker’s price up, but the Toffees are likely to soften their stance later in the window as they need to sell players in order to move Lampard’s targets.
